Food Industry Convoy of Caring

NEW - Convoy Freshpoint 2012

About the Convoy

The Food Industry Convoy of Caring marked 10 years this past September. This annual event is Foodshare’s way of saying thank you to all those in the food industry who partner with us year after year to fight hunger in Greater Hartford. Eighty percent of the food we distribute comes directly from our food industry partners. Large-scale donations from companies like Stop & Shop and HPC Foodservice allow us to provide 3 meals for every $1 received. In 10 years time, participating companies have donated the equivalent of more than 21 million meals for our hungry neighbors!

And, as a result of our strong partnership with these companies, we have been able to grow with the increasing need in our region, ensuring that all of our hungry neighbors have better access to the resources they need most.
