Foodshare | Hunger is Big. Our Community is Bigger.

The Institute strives to promote a paradigm shift in the charitable food system from charitable food distribution as an emergency response to a holistic, person-centered approach as a long-term solution to hunger.

We provide access to tools, resources, and educational seminars to promote systemic change. Subscribe to the Institute’s monthly newsletter to receive updates and information on upcoming webinars.

Reinventing Food Banks and Pantries: New Tools to End Hunger

Katie Martin, the Institute’s executive director, recently published a book Reinventing Food Banks and Food Pantries. The book focuses on a new model for charitable food, one where success is measured not by pounds of food distributed but by lives changed. Katie shares inspiring stories and strategies from around the country with simple steps that anyone working or volunteering at a food bank or pantry can take today. Click here for more information.
