Kai has been with Foodshare for nearly three years as an Agency Services Representative. He is frequently in the field, inspecting partner agencies and promoting best practices. He is also involved in town organizing, working to bring interested organizations and individuals together in East Hartford to address issues of hunger and poverty.

 

1 in 8 Americans now relies on a food bank for assistance. Join Kai as he blogs about the challenges he faces during the month of March while taking on the SNAP Into Action Against Hunger Challenge.  

 

It's not easy living on a SNAP allowance, especially while trying to maintain a healthy diet. Could you do it? To kick off his month long journey, Kai started by coming up with a meal plan:
