Recognizing the Food Industry
The annual Convoy of Caring is one of the many ways that we recognize and thank the local food industry for all that they do to fight hunger in our community. Foodshare has hosted this event for 16 years, and starting in 2017 we now host this event together with the Connecticut Food Bank to recognize the statewide food industry. Donations from the local food industry are vital to helping Foodshare and the Connecticut Food Bank distribute enough food to provide more than 30 million meals to our hungry neighbors throughout Connecticut each year.
Keep an eye out for our convoy of trucks on the highway and local news this year on Monday, September 17!
