Host a Food and Fund Drive

We are so grateful that you want to help our hungry neighbors.  Whether you're looking to host a virtual food drive, a traditional food drive or some combination of the two, we are here to support your efforts as best we can. Every single event, big or small, means fewer hungry people in our community!

What is a Virtual Food Drive?

As an alternative to a traditional, non-perishable (canned) food drive you may wish to consider a virtual food drive. Financial donations allow Foodshare to provide fresh fruits and vegetables, in addition to canned goods, at a much lower cost. While a donor will likely spend $1 on a couple cans of soup, Foodshare can turn that dollar donation into several meals for one of our neighbors. It also eliminates the need to transport donated food to a local pantry, which is an added cost.

So let's get started!

Hosting a food and fund drive can be a lot of work, but we're here to make it as easy as possible. Browse through our Food Drive Toolkit for ideas on how to get the most out of your event.

We want your donation to help as many people as possible, and that's why we hope you will choose to host a Virtual Food Drive. However, if you have your heart set on a traditional food drive, we are happy to support your efforts and connect you with a local pantry that would greatly benefit from your efforts. There is no reason why you can't have your cake and eat it too! We would love to work with you to set up a Virtual Food Drive benefiting Foodshare. At the same time, you can collect non-perishable foods for one of Foodshare's partner programs located in (or near) your very own community. Get Started >
